aerolase® laser treatments

The Aerolase NeoElite is the gold standard in safe, effective laser treatment. It is one of the few lasers that does not have the high discomfort and risk of adverse effects commonly found with the previous generation of lasers.

Dr Lan Clean Slate Aerolase Laser
Who is Aerolase laser treatment for?

The Aerolase® NeoElite is one of our favorite new generation lasers due to its safety and effectiveness on all skin types and skin tones, including deeper skin tones.

We use the Aerolase® NeoElite for acne, melasma, psoriasis, rosacea, redness, wounds, bruising, cherry angiomas, skin rejuvenation, and laser hair removal.

How does Aerolase laser treatment work?

Aerolase® NeoElite is a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser that gently heats the skin to promote healing, stimulate collagen, kill acne bacteria, and reduce inflammation.

Unlike typical long-pulsed Nd:YAG lasers, the NeoElite Nd:YAG has a short pulse duration. What this means for patients is the NeoElite negates the pain, adverse effects, and potential epidermal burns typically associated with long-pulsed Nd:YAG lasers.

The treatment can last anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated and the concern being addressed. It is a no-pain, no-downtime laser that delivers a sensation of warmth or heat during treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the skin concern, you may need anywhere from 2-8 treatments. Addressing issues like dark hair removal, severe acne, skin rejuvenation, psoriasis, and melasma can be on the upper range of session requirements in order to achieve the desired result.

What should I expect during an Aerolase laser treatment?

You can expect a thorough consultation and treatment by Dr. Lan, our double board-certified MD.

The laser treatment feels like warm or hot air and there is a mild sensation of warmth or heat. There are no needles, no ablation, and no numbing. This is a no-pain, no-downtime laser.

Packages are available. "Buy now, pay later" options are available.

Are there side effects or downtime?

This is a no-downtime treatment, meaning there are no open wounds, no peeling, and no infection risk as a result of the treatment. You can continue to use your regular skin care and go about your normal routine right after a NeoElite laser treatment.

Dark spots, melasma, and hyperpigmentation can become darker first before lightening up. Some people with very sensitive skin can have a pink or red look to their skin which usually resolves within a few hours. Most people report an immediate healthy glow which can last up to several days.

“Dr. Jie and Stephanie are fantastic! They were everything you would want: friendly, professional, very communicative about the products, procedure and outcomes - and fun, too! I was very happy with the process, and the care for not causing pain - it didn’t hurt at all. And a week later, I am very happy with the results - noticeably smoother skin, especially on my forehead and around my eyes."
