neuromodulators

We use Xeomin, the safest, FDA-approved neuromodulator to temporarily relax muscles that cause wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother and more youthful appearance. Xeomin boasts a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, free from additives and other proteins that can cause allergies or resistance to treatment over time. This clean composition has earned Xeomin the nickname the "naked injectable" and "naked Botox," making it a preferred choice for those seeking a more refined, safe, and effective Botox treatment.

Who are neuromodulators for?

Neuromodulators such as Xeomin and Botox have diverse applications and a commendable safety record as a minimally invasive yet potent solution for cosmetic concerns, muscle spasms, and various other conditions. While its most celebrated use is the reduction of facial wrinkles and fine lines, Xeomin's versatility extends to treating conditions like migraines, excessive sweating, and TMJ.

We use Xeomin to treat wrinkles, frown lines, and crow's feet, overworked/overgrown areas in the jaw, trapezius, and calves, and excessive sweating in the armpits.

How do neuromodulators work?

Xeomin injections block certain chemical signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract, temporarily limiting or freezing their movement. The most common use of these injections is to relax frown lines, crow's feet/laugh lines, and to slim the jaw.

How many treatments will I need?

Some studies indicate that Xeomin lasts longer than Botox and does not contribute to resistance over time, so patients may receive injections every 3-6 months to remain free of unwanted wrinkles, lines, migraines, sweating, or other issues being treated.

What is included in a Botox/Xeomin treatment?

Most patients find the treatment to be nearly painless, but we offer prescription skin numbing, icing, and facial massage tools for maximum comfort.

Are there side effects or downtime?

You can expect to have some tenderness at the injection sites. Bruising can also occur in some instances.

We prefer Xeomin because the chance of side effects and reactions is lower than other neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport. Studies show its desired effects may take less time to take effect and may also last longer.

If you have noticed that you need more units of Botox or Dysport over time, it may be that you are developing resistance to the neuromodulator. This is yet another reason we prefer Xeomin - it contains no additives or additional proteins that can contribute to the body developing resistance over time.

“Dr. Jie and Stephanie are fantastic! They were everything you would want: friendly, professional, very communicative about the products, procedure and outcomes - and fun, too! I was very happy with the process, and the care for not causing pain - it didn’t hurt at all. And a week later, I am very happy with the results - noticeably smoother skin, especially on my forehead and around my eyes."
